LASER COMBAT GAMES FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!

1. What is Laser Combat Games?

 Laser Combat Games, is a revolutionary new outdoor, team based combat game. Also known as "electronic" paintball and similar in concept to Paintball Games, however Laser Games are twice as fast and exciting.  Each team member is equipped with infrared weapons and sensor headgear. Players shoot an invisible and harmless infrared beam similar to the one used in your TV remote control. Teams are assigned missions to complete like "Disarm the Bomb”, "Hostage Rescue" or "Capture The Flag". We have a variety of missions for every level player and unlike computer games, no mission ever plays the same twice. All missions and scenarios are played over acres of woodland zones, designed specifically for our combat games.

     2.   Who can play Laser Combat Games?

 Anyone aged 8+ male or female, fit or unfit, everyone can play to a level that they find comfortable! Laser combat simulations are great fun for the casual player and our structured strategy missions are designed to encourage working together as a team, leadership skills and effective communication.  The ultimate war game, combining role-play and problem-solving, guarantees an experience unlike any other.

   3.   How do the guns function?

The game system has been built around a safe, robust and reliable high-tech infrared combat system with weapons modeled on the Pulse Rifle from the film ‘Aliens’. Laser Combat guns'  range outstrips paintball markers or air soft guns. The rifles have and an integrated grenade launcher/ scatter gun round. Our SMGs and machine pistols are formidable due to their lightweight and maneuverability. With an effective range in excess of 150 meters, realistic digitised sounds and multiple modes of fire this is technology with attitude!

  4.   What can I expect when I arrive to Laser Combat Games?

On arrival, you will be issued with camouflage gear, war paint and your guns! After an equipment & Safety Briefing your marshal will go through the various scenarios and games you will play on our dedicated outdoor combat zones. If you are playing a morning session you will start at either 10am and finish at 1pm and afternoon sessions run from 2pm until 5pm. Players who choose the full day option start at 10am and finish at 5pm but your day is split with Claypigeon shooting. During the laser combat sessions, you will play several different games and scenarios.

   5.   What do I wear underneath my camouflage gear and what else do I bring with me?

We recommend that you wear loose fitting clothing and bring either a pair of old runners or hiking boots.

   6.   What happens if it is pouring rain?

We play in all types of weather (sun, snow, rain or hail), however we do recommend that you bring a change of clothing with you, and for those of you who are not staying with us, there are showering facilities.

   7.   What sort of accommodation do you offer?

You stay in our wonderful K2 accommodation which offers dorm room accommodation or twin/double room accommodation. We are located in Leenane, Connemara, Co. Galway.

   8.   What other activities can I do?

   9.   I have played Paintball before and was covered in bruises for weeks afterwards - does Laser Combat Games hurt?!

No not at all! The only thing that hurts is when you have to finish the game or if you run into a tree or another player!

  10.   When I played Paintball before, I ended up spending quite a lot of money on extra Paintballs - are there any hidden  costs with Laser Combat Games?

No! At the start of your games, your marshal will load up your gun with enough lives to get you through your game - these lives should last you a whole game - if you are clever enough not to get shot! Laser Combat Games is far more superior than Paintball, as you really have to plan your attack very effectively to make sure you last the duration of the game.

  11.    What sort of groups do you cater for?

We cater for small or big groups, Stag or Hen Parties, Corporate Fun Days Out, Team Building Programmes, Birthday Parties and youth groups. 

  12.   My Company is having their annual conference in a hotel, can you provide off site games for the afternoon?

Yes! Laser Combat Games is fully mobile and we can take our guns, gear and structures to you! Please call us for for further information.
